How do soaps work generally?

The purpose of washing is to remove the outer layer of oils and fats that harbor germs and rinse them away from the skin. Soap is a surfactant which means that when used on the skin, the soap molecules bind water and oil molecules together. After cleansing with soap, rinsing away the lather takes the oil and germs with it, leaving your hands squeaky clean.

Warning: Avoid contact with eyes. If the product gets in the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of warm water. Keep out of reach from children. For external use only.
